On 6 August 2025, the UK Government announced a major crackdown on unsafe cosmetic procedures, aiming to protect the public from unregulated practitioners, “cowboy” treatments, and dangerous practices. The new measures will ensure that only qualified professionals perform treatments—like Botox, fillers, and certain energy‑based procedures—and that clinics are properly licensed and inspected by regulators.
