Safer Aesthetics main goal is to provide safer, evidence-based aesthetics training to medical professionals. Safer aesthetics gained VTCT regulation in july 2024 and now offers the level 7 in aesthetics.

We are a full team of nurse prescribers at safer aesthetics training and we hold level 7 in cosmetic medicine and level 3 in education and training awards and assessor qualifications so you know your training is of a high standard.

At Safer Aesthetics Training Ltd we strive to ensure all delegates gain the needed theoretical and practical knowledge and understanding relevant to their chosen course so they can successfully progress with their aesthetics career. We offer an outstanding program of learning for all of our students including a pre course learning package. We have our own prescribers list exclusive to our students.

We also have an incredible support group. we add you to this once you complete your training day.

Claire Amos

Managing Director | Clinical Educator | Advanced Aesthetic Nurse Prescriber

Claire Amos is the founder and Managing Director of Safer Aesthetics Training, bringing over two decades of nursing experience and an exceptional record of clinical excellence to the field of aesthetic education.

Claire qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 2004, and has been practicing as a Non-Medical Prescriber and Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner since 2010. She holds a First-Class Honours Degree in Public Health and a Postgraduate Level 7 Diploma in Clinical Aesthetics, underpinning her strong academic foundation with advanced clinical expertise.

With a passion for education and safety, Claire has been an aesthetic trainer since 2018, holding both the Level 3 Award in Education and Training and the Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) Award. In July 2024, she secured VTCT centre approval to deliver the nationally recognised Level 7 Diploma in Clinical Aesthetics, cementing Safer Aesthetics as a leading provider of regulated, accredited qualifications.

Claire owns CLK Aesthetics, a successful, high-volume aesthetic clinic known for its excellence in full-face rejuvenation. Her clinical work is underpinned by a holistic, patient-centred approach, and she teaches this ethos to every learner that passes through her academy.

Claire is a proud member of the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) and CMAC (Complications in Medical Aesthetic Collaborative), British association of medical aesthetic nurses (BAMAN) and has been nominated for Best Aesthetic Practitioner in the Safety in Beauty Awards for both 2024 and 2025.
Safer aesthetics training has also been nominated for best education and training 2025.

Her commitment to continuous professional development includes facial ultrasound and cadaveric dissection training, alongside regular advanced education with leading pharmaceutical companies such as Merz, allergan and teoxane.

Claire is deeply passionate about raising standards in aesthetic medicine and empowering professionals to practice safely, ethically, and confidently. Her goal is clear: to deliver training that not only enhances clinical skill but protects patient safety and upholds the future of medical aesthetics.

Leah Holmes

Busniess and development manager

Leah is our dedicated Business and Development Manager at Safer Aesthetics. She plays a key role in ensuring the smooth organisation and management of all course bookings, supporting students every step of the way to make sure they get the most from their training experience.

With a strong focus on efficiency and student support, Leah is the first point of contact for all administrative queries and ensures that every learner's journey with us is seamless, professional, and well-structured.

Leah also serves as the official exam invigilator for our Level 7 qualifications, overseeing assessments with integrity and precision to uphold the highest standards in clinical education.

Her friendly, approachable manner combined with meticulous attention to detail makes her an invaluable part of the Safer Aesthetics team.

Dr Becky Carter Thomas

G.P/ Aesthetic Doctor/ Clinical Educator

Dr Becky Carter Thomas is a highly experienced medical doctor with over 20 years in clinical practice. She continues to work as a General Practitioner two days a week, bringing a wealth of real-world medical insight to her work in aesthetics.

With more than 12 years’ experience in medical aesthetics, Dr Becky combines a strong clinical foundation with a passion for safe, ethical cosmetic treatments. She has completed her Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Aesthetics, ensuring her practice aligns with the highest educational and clinical standards in the industry.

Becky has a natural passion for teaching and mentorship. She enjoys supporting both medical students and V300 independent prescribers in training, and now also teaches across a range of courses at Safer Aesthetics. Her teaching is guided by a strong belief in the medical model of aesthetics, where patient safety, assessment, and ethical decision-making are at the core.

Known for her gentle, understanding, and patient-focused approach, Dr Becky is valued by both patients and students alike. Her calm presence and ability to communicate clearly make her a trusted educator and practitioner in the aesthetics field.

Joanna Roberts

Level 7 Trainer | Assessor | V300 Supervisor

Joanna (Jo) Roberts is a highly experienced Registered General Nurse with over 21 years of clinical expertise. Since entering the aesthetics field in 2013, Jo has become a respected figure in the industry. She holds an Independent Prescribing qualification (V300), a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Aesthetics, and is a qualified assessor and Level 7 aesthetics trainer. She also acts as a V300 prescribing supervisor, supporting the next generation of safe, competent non-medical prescribers.

Jo runs a successful aesthetic clinic in West Wales and is a committed member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN), and Complications in Medical Aesthetic Collaborative (CMAC).

Jo brings a wealth of clinical knowledge, hands-on experience, and a passion for education to the Safer Aesthetics training team. Her approach is calm, supportive, and learner-focused—making her a sought-after trainer known for her patience, clarity, and encouraging teaching style.

With a strong emphasis on safety, evidence-based practice, and professional development, Jo plays a key role in raising the standards of aesthetic education and prescribing supervision across the UK.

Jemma Davies

Trainer
Jemma is a registered general nurse and has been working in the NHS for 18 years.
Jemma Has been working alongside clinical director claire for 4 years practicing aesthetics and has a passion for teaching.

Jemma is bubbly, helpful and kind and has a positive energy when teaching.

Jemma is working towards her pg Diploma in aesthetics and her teaching qualification.
